Merry Christmas, a Happy New Year, and Happy Bday!

Sun Jan 1, 2006, 5:11 PM
Okay, this Christmas consisted of mostly chocolate-- but who's complaining, I've been getting sick from chocolate every night since Christmas now, haha. I also got Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones, which if you have played either of the previous two I suggest you get The Two Thrones RIGHT NOW BECAUSE IT ROCKS. I also got Star Wars: Battlefront II for Christmas which is good fun because I happen to be a very trigger-happy person when it comes to games like this... and Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire for PS2 which I haven't even touched from lack of interest. Ha ha. And let's not forget my PSP! I also got some new Redwall books, a Disney how-to-draw (yay!) book, so expect lots of Disney drawing to be uploaded once my scanner decides to work. And I got a few DVDs. Yeeey. There was probably other things but I really can't think of them right now.

For New Year's we went to see King Kong, which is in my opinion one of the saddest movies EVER. It is an amazing film, though, and I like the hidden message in there. Rather than depicting Kong as the monster he was in the original film, he is, in this one, just an oversized gorilla. The real monsters of this story are the humans, which in reality is very true. Animals are so mistreated and looked down upon by humans, when really we are equal-- we are animals too, after all. We're just more intelligent. That doesn't make us better. Kong was just misunderstood, and if people took the time to learn more about animals rather than jumping to conclusions then perhaps we wouldn't have so many severly endangered or already extinct animals. Yes, I'm ranting, but this journal is a wonderful place to get it off my chest.

And in other news... it's my birthday on the 4th! I'll be 14. Yay. I'm having a lazer tag party, which is always fun. We'll probably have my friends against my sisters, and maybe I'll drag Dad along just to embarass him. Besides, the birthday girl's team always wins. Haha.

Have a great new year, everybody. :)
